First Grade - Rainbow Lines

In our first unit, of the school year we talked about and examined various types of lines. After reading the book Lines That Wiggle, we talked about how lines start with a dot and go for a walk. As the dot drags its feet, it makes a line. Sometimes the line is straight, and sometimes the line is bumpy. Students chose from a variety of lines and drew 5 across their page. During the second class, students looked at the order of the rainbow. In each space between the lines students painted a color of the rainbow, keeping in mind the rainbow's order.
