The Westwood Art Department provides an environment in which students develop the capacity to create, respond and communicate through the unique language of the visual arts. In an increasingly interconnected and visual world, through their study of the arts, our students enrich their personal experience and become more imaginative thinkers and inventive problem solvers.     Create Engage in the creative problem solving process Experiment and take risks Develop craft and technique with increasing proficiency Express something original as an individual or collaborator          Respond                                                                           Observe and analyze with a critical eye Critique one's own work and the work of others.
