First Grade - Bugs

  1. First Grade Bugs
First Grade students have been closely looking at the structure of a bug. Bugs are symmetrical, meaning they are exactly the same on either side of their bodies. Bugs' bodies are composed of three parts: the head, the thorax, and the abdomen.

In this project students were asked to...

    1. Choose bug
    2. Draw line of symmetry
    3. Fold image on line of symmetry
    4. Draw the head, thorax, and abdomen on paper in crayon. PRESS HARD!
    5. Connect the drawing
    6. Detail lines.
    7. Add color in paint and oil pastel
